On August 12th, REPerformance hosted a booth at the NHL vs Docs hockey game in support of the NEO Kids Foundation. The event is hosted in order to help raise money and awareness towards the foundation and their future goals. The game entails doctors hopping into a pair of skates to play with NHL stars from teams around the league. All proceeds from the event are donated to NEO Kids in order to build a children’s hospital in the North. This year was outstanding in terms of proceeds, as the game brought in over $349,000 dollars for this great initiative.
REPerformance contributed to such a great cause by selling signed REP pucks, 1000 to be exact. They were all signed by the NHL stars who came to Sudbury for the event and sold to fans before the game. The NHL players involved with the event included the Folingo brothers, John Tavares, Matt Duchene, Marc Staal, Seth Jones, Cam Atkinson, Boone Jenner, Josh Anderson, Brandon Dubinsky, Pierre Luc Dubois, Scott Harrington, Anthony Duclair, Tyler Bertuzzi and Damien Giroux.
The REP team managed to sell over 800 of the signed pucks! At $3 for one puck, and $10 for four pucks, attendees were able to purchase pucks at the booth at a random draw. Fans also had the opportunity to purchase the entire roster of pucks for $30. In total REPerformance raised $2,067 and donated all of it to the Foundation. We are only looking to improve on this number for next year and continue to work with a great organization.
